I understand. That’s the trouble. I understand. I’ll understand all the time. All day and all night. Especially all night. I’ll understand. You don’t have to worry about that.

The real problem is much larger…

There is a whole culture. Black people are impoverished and have been ever since slavery. As a black kid, how can you focus on getting a good education when you’re worried about how and from where you’re going to get your dinner? How can you look forward enough to see your goal of success and work towards that if you don’t have food at home, or a dad, or parents for that matter? This is why the cycle of povery that is so deeply imbedded in the black community cannot be broken unless someone happens to get very lucky. The government knows this. If we keep them impoverished, we keep them uneducated, which keeps them blind and less likely to revolt, which is in favor to the powers that be. Black life is ABSOLUTELY treated as less than white life. Impoverish the white community for generation after generation and they will act the same way and commit the same crimes. Those who have no sympathy for blacks on welfare and without jobs are ignorant. Because of their generational impoverishment, most only have high school educations, if that. It’s even hard for college graduates to get well paying jobs right now. It’s hard for anyone to find a job making more than minimum wage and it’s incredibly hard to live on minimum wage, especially when you have children. Those who work full time (40 hours/week) and who are getting paid less then $8 an hour are normally only making 15-20k annually. The revolution WILL come from an uprise in the black community. Whether this is it, and whether or not this specific event is the right one to start it, I don’t know. But no one can do it for them. Change has to come from within, and the cycle of impoverishment makes an uprising a very hard thing to expect from them. There is a lot that you don’t understand. It takes an immense amount of empathy to even begin to comprehend their situation, and you must approach and assess the patterns, events, and history of the black community from a neutral standpoint.

For all the protesters out there:

pon-raul:

If you aren’t aware, cops love to destroy the phones of people who record them.

So next time you’re in a situation where you are recording an officer and fear for the safety of your video evidence, try using the Bambuser app.

It uploads your video online to your Bambuser account while you record it. You can also stream the video live. This way your videos are saved online, safe from the hands of the uniformed pigs.

It’s fucking ridiculous that we have to spend our adult lives relearning history and deconstructing the truth from the lies we were fed in school.

I’m watching this fairly odd parents episode about the mayor who says he wants to keep everyone as mindless zombies by feeding them genetically modified milk so he can get more money and more power

and it’s just so funny that this message is conveyed in a children’s cartoon show. it’s like so many people realize this YET WE ARENT DOING SHIT ABOUT IT. quit buying gmo products, quit supporting the government. idk
